Is the United States ready for a foreign cyber attack and what can be done about it? An interview with Tarah Wheeler.
Lately, it seems a week doesn’t go by without a significant cyberattack on US federal infrastructure. The threat of a paralyzing assault remains stubbornly high and threatens our future national security and ability to operate worldwide.
Tarah Wheeler is not your typical cyberwarfare expert, and her advice is unique in an industry obsessed with capabilities and retaliation. Wheeler says the key to our cybersecurity is better “pothole” management, saying that many software companies need to step up and patch existing vulnerabilities in their software.
Wheeler is a Cyber Project Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She is the author of “Women In Tech.”
Zev Shalev and Noel Casler asked Wheeler to break down the severity of the recent attacks on the US and what you can do to keep yourself secure at home. And Andrew Laufer stoops by to talk about a grand jury being empaneled in the case against Trump Org.
